Supervision
My supervision approach combines reflective practices with evidence-based strategies, giving clinicians both introspective insights and practical guidance. Grounded in evidence-based training and real-world experience, I provide a collaborative environment where supervisees can grow and build confidence.
Getting Acquainted: Credentials & Background
I’m an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMASW AMHSW) and Accredited Supervisor (MAASW AS), registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW, #462388). I hold a Master’s in Social Work from QUT and am currently enrolled in a two-year Metacognitive Therapy International Master-Class with Professors Adrian Wells and Hans M. Nordahl. My training also includes Levels One and Two Narrative Therapy from the Dulwich Centre, the 56-hour ACA Approved Supervision Course, and additional expertise in DBT, CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed practice.
My professional journey spans roles in Disability Services, Youth Justice, and over five years as a Senior Clinician at headspace Brisbane, where I supported clients with complex trauma, generalized anxiety disorder, social phobia, PTSD and traumatic stress, OCD, chronic depression, BPD, and psychosis. In addition, I have served as a university Social Work Tutor and Clinical Educator, supervising both Accredited Social Worker staff and Social Work students during their placements. Today, I offer clinical and practical supervision for emerging and experienced Social Workers as well as related professionals. My approach is strengths-based, person-centred, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally sensitive, fostering reflective practice, professional growth, and empowerment.
